Old Abstract

My first drawing in 1985 came from necessity. I was a journalist and photographer when I had to create the layout for an interview with an AIDS victim for El Pregonero of Washington DC. I had no photos or illustration and I painted my first painting. Motivated, I continued to paint black and white photographs. Then I started painting abstracts. The first was a disaster. Since then, and at different times, the abstract has returned to me. These are some examples of my origins.
