Family Portraits

My passion for journalism always interceded with my passion for painting. As a journalist, I worked a lot on the immigration beat, writing profusely about that uneven transaction, in which one country gains what another loses. I was inspired by a Time Magazine photo series on portraits of new immigrants, set like old photos in sepia. Los Trotti and Los Trosseros are depictions of my ancestors when they arrived to Argentina, from Castellazzo Bormida, a town in the Piemonte province, Italy.
