The Americas
I traveled a lot in the Americas thanks to my profession. I have always been fascinated by the stories of the great American civilizations - Aztecs, Incas, and Mayans - but above all about their art, architecture, and engineering. Inspired by the works of the Argentine artist, Perez Celis, I created a three-dimensional series, similar to 9/11, with sand, cement, stone and resin on canvas. I exhibited them in public places, such as the James L. Knight Center, in Miami, Florida, and in public spaces at the Hilton Hotel, in downtown Miami, under the name of Doors of the American Past between 2002 and 2003.
