I was always fascinated by the abstract expressionist artists. Beyond the minimalism and clarity of Cy Twombly, which remains one of my favorites, I was always attracted by the complexity and strength of strokes and depth of colors by Willem de Kooning. I learned from these idols, mostly from books and visiting their works in various museums.
