Beyond Sharpness: The Soul of Blur

In my photo exploration, I have been drawn to movement and action, a paradox considering photography's primary purpose is to capture a moment in time. A blurred image invites an active gaze to discover the soul and poetry of the portrayed instant. Here (click in each category), I present a selection of blurred images, through the use of slow shutter speeds and shooting without a tripod to emphasize the sensation of motion, often captured with my Nikon Z6 or my iPhone 14 Pro Max, using the latter's 24mm lens at f/1.78. I also included some black and white photographs I had taken in the past.
